My Bio:

Michael is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, holding a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor’s Degree in media and communication from New York University. He operates a private practice in West Hollywood, CA.

Within his practice, Michael focuses extensively on serving the LGBTQIA+ community and possesses significant expertise in treating substance use disorders. Notably, he specializes in addressing “chem-sex”—the addictive use of substances to enhance sexual arousal. Furthermore, Michael established and facilitated an LGBTQ+ identity group for Impulse United, a global HIV advocacy nonprofit.

As a trauma therapist, Michael employs various modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and KAP (Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy), to address both single-incident and complex traumas. He advocates for the use of IFS (Internal Family Systems), also known as “parts” work, in trauma treatment.

Another area of Michael's focus is high-conflict divorce, where he assists partners in navigating hostility, legal disputes, and narcissistic abuse from their former partners. Additionally, he provides therapy to children and adolescents dealing with the challenges of high-tension parental relationships.

Originally from the heart of New York City, Hell’s Kitchen, Michael now resides in West Hollywood with his husband and their two dogs. Beyond his professional endeavors, he actively engages in the local queer recovery community and enjoys cultivating an extensive collection of plants.
